Edinburgh city centre is 7 miles / 11km from Edinburgh International Airport, which is served by a number major airlines with direct services from numerous international airports. Many of these routes are serviced by low-cost airlines.

In addition, there are also over 90 daily flights to and from London's airports, plus regular services from other UK regions.

There are direct transatlantic flights to Edinburgh and Glasgow international airports. Glasgow airport is an hour's drive from Edinburgh. A regular rail service runs every 15 minutes from Glasgow Queen Street Railway Station to Edinburgh Haymarket and Waverley stations. Shuttle air services connect Edinburgh with other major European hubs – Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris.

Transport from Edinburgh International Airport to City Centre
Edinburgh International Airport is well served by public transport into the city centre.

There is an excellent taxi service direct from the airport to the city. Journey time is around 25 minutes depending on traffic flow and the time of day.

Edinburgh Shuttle is a door-to-door shared transport service between Edinburgh Airport and the City Centre. A fleet of 7-seat executive mini-coaches run a frequent daily service and pick up and drop off at any address within a zone – hotel, conference venue, business or home address. Airlink regular bus services start at 04:20, running generally every 10 minutes until 23:45. For direct access to the EICC delegates are advised to alight at Haymarket Railway Station and to follow signs for EICC (5 minute walk). UK Rail Connections
Waverley Station, situated in the city centre, is the main railway station with regular services to stations in Scotland and the UK.

There is a rail service every 15 minutes between Glasgow and Edinburgh, with trains stopping at Haymarket station - just 5 minutes walk from the EICC.
